"Owner Operator" Qualification Requirement

Drivers must be a minimum of 23 years of age
No more than three (3) moving violations within the past three (3) years
Two (2) years verifiable Class A driving history
No DUI or drug conviction past three (3) years
Positive, pro-active attitude & ability to work well with others
Able to pull 45,000 lbs. loads and/or gross 80,000 lbs.
Must be willing to handle any legal available load assigned
SCS Operations dispatching only – NO Self Dispatching
All IFTA fuel tax/mileage reporting payment done by SCS only
Owner Operators are responsible for any & all ‘tax’ liability due
Log Book compliance must be maintained daily & remitted with daily and/or weekly paperwork per SCS policy
Vehicle Qualifications/Tractor Leasing Requirements
Stack will not lease on equipment that is older than 10 years without the approval of the Equipment Control Manager. All equipment leased on by the company must be maintained in safe, operating condition at all times, as outlined by the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Regulations.
All contractors will be required to maintain Non-Trucking Liability (Bobtail) Insurance.

An up to date FHWA is needed. And all owner operators must have a biannual inspection done by the expiration on the first inspection.
It is the contractor’s responsibility to be sure the unit is properly licensed and permitted. The state license plate is the responsibility of the equipment owner and must be secured before the equipment can be leased. Stack will provide all other permits required to operate.
